Dear list, I have a PM 7500 with a G3/300 upgrade. I am looking to upgrade the hard drive from the stock 500 Mbyte SCSI hard drive. I want to be able to use the machine primarily as a MP3 server. I have been looking at the VST UltraTek ATA/66 Ultra ATA PCI Controller for $50 from OWC.
Does anyone on this list have any experience with this card? Did they have any problems with audio or video playback stuttering? Did they apply the FirmTek's AV-Tek utility to correct any problems? Can anyone recommend another ATA PCI controller with which they have used successfully for audio/video on a 7300/7500/7600?
