The distribution includes a utility to eliminate the stuttering. I don't do A-V at present, but I did install the OS X package from OWC on my 8600/300 and my Beige G3/300 MT. Booting from certain drives is MUCH more reliable with the OS X support package installed, but there are new problems which have yet to be addressed, and these could be fixed in a subsequent release (no commitment has yet been received from OWC, however). Although I have the complete OS X package in-house (and installed on my Wallstreet), I have backed off to 8.6 and/or 9.2 on my desktop Macs, and I have also backed off the VST OS X firmware to its pre-OS X state. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
