Hi Andrew, I use IE 5 on OS 8.6 with 415 MB RAM and it has never frozen on me. If the above happened to me I would: Run TechTool Pro 3 immediately (or Norton); I'd "Optimize" i.e., defragment the drive; I'd "wipe all unused space"; I'd rebuild the desktop; I'd empty the Explorer Cache. . . . etc. etc. I guarantee that you'll at least find a few things that will be fixed and you'll probably terminate your IE problem.
