Things I would try:

Take out all but one RAM chip....if that doesn't work, try a different RAM
chip. I've had RAM chips that seemed to be working fine, then I make a
hardware configuration change and they all of a sudden seem to go bad.
Symptoms can be similar to what you are experiencing.

Remove any L2 cache.

Reset the logic board by unplugging, then remove battery for a while...maybe
15 minutes.
