 From what I know of RAM, the memory will operate at the speed of the 
slowest module. So if you have 2 modules, one 50ns and one 60ns they 
will operate at at 60ns. If you have a mixed bag of 50ns and 60ns 
chips (say 4 of each) they will only operate at 60ns, interleaved or 
not. This is a safety measure to prevent strain on slower RAM DIMMs 
and also keep the machine in step, at least theoretically. I would 
imagine that the interleaving is preserved but at the slower speed 
but I do not know for sure as I know it requires matching DIMMs but I 
do not know to what extent they have to match.
