From what I know of RAM, the memory will operate at the speed of the slowest module. So if you have 2 modules, one 50ns and one 60ns they will operate at at 60ns. If you have a mixed bag of 50ns and 60ns chips (say 4 of each) they will only operate at 60ns, interleaved or not. This is a safety measure to prevent strain on slower RAM DIMMs and also keep the machine in step, at least theoretically. I would imagine that the interleaving is preserved but at the slower speed but I do not know for sure as I know it requires matching DIMMs but I do not know to what extent they have to match. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC SilValleyPirate - AIM silicon_valley_pirate_uk - Yahoo!
