You are already using 0 (hard drive), 3 (CD-ROM) and 7 (the Mac itself).

You can select: 1, 2, 4, 5 or 6.

5 or 6 require two jumpers; 1, 2 and 4 require one jumper.

If the drive was originally ID 0 (most likely), then it also most likely has 
NO jumpers installed, as no jumpers installed sets the ID to 0.

IIRC, the Quantum SCSI drives require a special, small outline jumper, 
perhaps 2mm, although I'm not certain about that.

Maxtor's web site will have your Quantum drive and its jumper options.
