Herb says:

(1) Record each track to hard disk individually.
(2) Use a sound editing program to remove the hiss from the beginning and/or 
end of each track..
(3) Assemble the tracks using Toast or whatever.
(4) Burn the disk.  I think Toast would automatically add the blank space 
between tracks.
