Machine is a PowerComputing 200 604e PowerBase 32 meg, 4meg, 4 meg in dimm slots HD is 2 gig, lots of empty space as OS is all that is installed scsi cdrom 9.1 OS Mac will open to "sticky notes" and Mac Desktop. I can click on and open any file but they will not run. I receive a "virtual memory" error which is something like "virtual memory is corrupted or two small, delete fsl file or resize virtual memory" I think that's the exact message but I haven't looked lately.
I've tried deleting virtual memory file, to no avail. It goes to the trashcan but replicates itself back in folder. I've reset virtual memory size in control panel but it didn't help. Tried to load 9.2 OS but memory error kicked in and won't let it load. Tried to load from CD but machine won't default to CD with C key depressed. Did the Pram and Cuda things. Last resort, threatened Mac by telling it I was going to gut it and turn it into a PC running MS. It is still holding out in defiance, daring me. Stronger language may be necessary to communicate with Mac? Maybe I'm not speaking Macinese? -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
