Hello

My experience with my 7600 is that the clicking noise is the power-on relay
in the power supply

First, put your ear to the cover and determine if the fan is running. You
can also check this by putting your hand over the exhaust vent in back of
the machine to determine if air flow is there. You can also open up the
cover for a better check. The fan is located under the power supply module.
Should be able to hear it with cover open.!.

If fan is not runningt, then you are SOOL. The 115V power cord plugs
directly into the power supply module, so there is not much more you can do.

Replacement PS run about $30(?) ,or so. I paid $35 at a mac parts dealer.

good luck
