A restore disk is just a drive image and will always install the same,
where as a installer disk let's you configure the install.

Both can be configured to only work on a specific machine (model, not
an actual specific machine, though they'll preobably do that next ;-) )
Actually as restore disks are images they are pretty useless to machines
that they aren't meant for, even if they would let you use them.


or at least that's how it seems right now!
