Absolutely. Phil Wong wrote me off list and said that in order to get an RMA # for the drive, WD wanted a diagnostic error result code from their Winskank-only setup program. (which obviously ain't gonna happen). What's with companies these days? I have several vintage Macs with original HDs (Quantum, Seagate) with 40,000 plus hours that still run perfect to this day, and I leaned on some of these machines pretty hard back in their heyday. All have performed flawlessly to date. I get 50/50 reviews from everyone I have spoken to about Maxtor. We will see.
