Hi list;

After my dad had an experience with MS virus-relay software, I
thought is was an idea to get him a Mac.

Due to low budget, I am getting him a 7500/100/48MB/1GB which should
arrive today, I will probably get a 150MHz 604 card to speed things
up slightly.

He is mainly going to use it for email and browsing, and I plan to
install OS 8.1, Eudora, a couple of browsers, AppleWorks 5 and
updated MRJ and QuickTime.

I plan to partition the hd in 3: System, Applications and Files.
Any suggestions for partition size? How much does OS 8.1 need?

Any other comments?

TIA

Martin Sorensen

PS: I go for 8.1, as my only alternative is 9.1, which I think is
too memory-hungy for this setup.
