This is probably a dumb question, but I have two partitions, one with 8.6
and one with 9.1 When I run the 9.1 partition, some software I try to run
(like Videoshop, Quickeditor and Premier 4.2 (old but the only version I
own) I get a message saying the software needs to be updated to be
compatible with the new Mac OS file system.
If I install the same software on the 8.6 partition, it runs fine.
The trouble is, I'm using a monitor adapter and then sharing my 15" windoze
monitor with the mac 7600 via a switch. Under 8.6 I can only get 832 by 600
or something like that and the screen has a little shake to it. 9.1 gives me
1024x768 and is rock solid.
Can I either, A) improve my resolution and screen flicker under 8.6 or B)
get past this new and improved file system thing under 9.1?

Any help would be appreciated.
