I have a Mac problem which I would dearly love some advice on.

My Mac (9500-PROLOGIX G4-400) runs OK apart from a 'quirk' it developed
recently. If I use the application changing icon on the top right (what
is this thing called?) I get a message "finder has unexpectedly quit,
save your work etc". And from then a number of extensions don't work (sub
menus is one).

Do I need to completely reinstall everything? I've tried:

- extensions off
- Rebuild desktop
- zap PRAM
- Norton Disk Doctor (no problems)

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas on some further action
would be appreciated.

Cheers

Michael Christoffel
