Hi all,
I've been given(!) an 8500/120, G3/400, 128Mram. Was told it was dead.
Installed a known good HD. Works fine, the G3/400 wasn't in all the way. The
question: The HD that was in there is a Seagate 9Gb drive, #ST39140N.
I've tried all the usual tools to get it to do anything. I can get all the
info about it, just no action. Common problem reported is "disk not ready" or
" no disk". I've massaged the SCSI till the machine asked me out to dinner.
Looked up everything I could find. No luck. I'm guessing this one's a goner.
Any ideas? It would be nice to use this.
Thanks,
        John
