As usual that depends on what you want to use them for and how upgradeable they are. They have a solid reputation much like the 8500 though. A friend of mine just got a B&W but he used the above Power Tower Pro for years and has filled our town and even U.S. golf courses with the fruits of his Adobe Illustrator work. Have a look at what his clone created with OS 8.6 at: http://warrenlangley.com Some upgrade possibilities have ended and what remains may be short lived but I can't recall exactly how. Lowend has all the poop and you could briefly join the clone list there too. Dark screen is probably battery - but you'd know that.
