My Netscape woes are apparently history ! At least for now. I completely reformatted both internal IDE HDs, 6GB, and 40GB, on my PowerMac 7300/180. So far, all is well. Had only one or two crashes in over one week !! All the strange "Mystery Boxes," have disappeared !! Netscape 4.75 is now running very smooth ! Eudora 5.1.1 is running, and I no longer need to enter passwords, but Eudora is very slow to check e-mail (sometimes over ten minutes just to check that there is no mail, or only several messages). My connection is DSL, so I don't know why Eudora is so slow. Netscape downloads mail very quickly, even one hundred messages or more download very fast. IE 5 is running smooth. Haven't tried running too many other applications yet, other than Microsoft Word 5.1a, which has always been very stable for many years ! If this old beast continues running as it presently does, I can now get busy with my research and get some serious work accomplished ! Thanks for all of the suggestions from everyone !!!
