I don't quite yet understand the terminology, "ATA card not properly
registered," but no matter, at least not for the time being, because
my 7300/180 is now working correctly with the SIIG UltraATA 133/100
that I installed, but only after reformatting both IDE drives
numerous times (probably at least six times each). So far, both
drives are functioning smoothly. I checked the connecting for the
controller card many times, and it was seated properly. All the
cables and other connections appeared to be secure. The SIIG techs
could not figure out what might be the problem. I already sent back
the first card, but had the exact same problems with the
second/present card as well. After the many reformats, the original
problems disappeared !!?? Strange, but what caused the fix ?
Multiple reformatting ? Luck ?

The only major problems I am experiencing at the present are with
Eudora, taking very long to check mail, and many attempts are not
successful.

the floppy, to get out of this problem.
