Who's your ISP and mail host? Having the same problem with two
different version of Eudora hints that the problem might be the mail
server, rather than your computer. I've had Eudora for years, and
the only time I've had problems getting mail, everyone has had the
same problems getting it from that mail server (mac.com, yahoo, my
ISP)

>I tried Eudora 4.3.2, and still had exactly the same problems with 5.1.1

>Still have to check mail many, many times before finally successful.
>Tried quitting Eudora, restarting, no go. Tried rebooting computer,
>still no go.

>Tried trashing Eudora Settings, still same problem. Is this a bug
>that anybody else has seen, experienced ?

>After many attempts, then finally Eudora mail does go through (either
