I jumped into the 8500 and filled it up with ram and a G3 and a couple of drives and I note; that the System Profiler only shows 7 of the ram slots filled (nothing in B1) and Tattletech shows only 7 modules (1-7). Does that mean a dead slot? I've swapped out a few sticks to what I thought was the unreported slot. If it is a dead slot, is the machine k.o.'ed? Or will it function properly? -- All the best, R.A.
