Okay, MacDraw works on the LCIII, which has very little memory. When we try
to use it on the PM7500, it shut down and said "insufficient memory." This
is both when it had 72mb memory and after I'd installed a new 128mb stick (I
made sure the machine saw all 200mb).

Why would this be?

Also, we're having problems with the internet. We got a 3com usr 56k
faxmodem off ebay without software. Some very nice people on this list sent
me the information on how to get the "usr high speed" software off of usr's
website (thank you!). And, another nice listmember is sending us the cd
that comes with the modem and includes the fax software. In the meantime,
assuming we're using the correct modem software (and according to the
website, we are), the download rate is 2kbps - um, that really sucks!

Other problems:

You can get on the internet and go to a website, but about 3 levels into it,
the browser closes and a window comes up saying "OT/PPP - you have been
disconnected." The connection is down, but you can still look at the
webpage you were looking at.

Sometimes, it's not the connection that closes down. The browser will shut
off, you're still connected to the internet, there's no dialogue window
coming up to tell you why.

Any and all suggestions will be much appreciated!

Janice

P.S. The MacDraw problem is miniscule compared to the modem problem, but we
thought initially, the problems were related.
