Jay:

Yes, it could replace your hard disk, but you would either need a 68 to
50 pin adaptor, or a 68 pin scsi card.  I would recommend the card, as
you will get much better performance from the drive.  The other thing to
watch for is compatibility with drive setup.  Some drives are not
compatible, and you have to use a third party drive setup utility.  

Is this the drive on the swap list?  If so, be careful.  I have always
had trouble with Seagate, and their repaired drives are very
undependable (had one die 3 weeks ago).
