SCSI or IDE? I know for IDE it doesn't matter what speed you have. You can 
use an old 40mb with a brand new 120Gb if you'd like. But one is going to be 
slower than the other, obviously. I doubt it matters with SCSI either, I'm 
using a faster 8GB Seagate with a slower stock Apple 1GB. I don't know the 
specs on them though, but I do know the Apple is slower.
