Hello list members, For some reason (currently unknown to me) when I try to print anything at all, I receive the message "The selected port is in use. Please quit the application that is using it and try again." In addition, the printer light blinks when I turn it on. (Normally there is a steady/unblinking light.)
I have no other application open except the one I am trying to print. When I click on the printer port (instead of the modem port in the Chooser) I get this message: "The printer port you want to use for the (printer) is not available because AppleTalk is selected or another application is usiong the port. Use the Choose to disable AppleTalk or close the other application." The modem port works with the printer, but I need it for the modem! AppleTalk is INACTIVE. I've reinstalled the printer software twice. No luck. What could be wrong? Joan -- -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
