Well, I've got my PowerTower Pro up and running w/ the nPower400 card.

I installed all the drivers I could find (they were on
AppleFritter <http://www.applefritter.com/macosppc/daystar/download/in
dex.html>) for the nPower. I keep reading references to the _nPower_
Control utility, but all I've got is the _Power_ Control 2.0 utility.
 Screenshots look the same though...

Here's my problem (couldn't send you guys an email w/o a problem!)...
;-)

I can launch the Power Control app fine. Before I had the MP Startup
extension and the MP libraries installed, the system was running on
one CPU. After, it runs on 2 CPUs (as confirmed by Apple System
Profiler). Before, Power Control worked fine - showed that I had 2
CPUs but was only using 1, could push all the buttons, etc. After, as
soon as I push a button on the main window, the system locks up hard.
 Completely frozen - requires a three-fingered salute.

What's the deal? Why would Daystar's own utility software for
Daystar's own machines and CPU upgrades cause Daystar's own CPU
upgrade to lock up?!

I'm thinking I have something installed that I shouldn't...

Mac OS 8.1, all the software from AppleFritter, 154MB RAM, Daystar
nPower400 (Dual 200MHz 604es), IMS TwinTurbo 128M8.

In other news, the PTP200MP (14ms) is 8ms faster than my beige G3
(22ms) (315MHz CPU, 70MHz bus) in displaying the default fractal in
PowerFrax. Gotta love SMP apps.

Peace,
Drew
