I don't have an answer for you. I just wanted to chime in and say that I'm
having this problem as well. The system: PM7500, OS X 10.2.1, 400 MHz G3,
512M ram, VST UltraTek IDE card (with upgraded firmware to cure the
inherent A/V problem). Hopefully someone on the list will have already
dealt with this issue. Curiously, I can fire up Classic, and my sound works
just fine.
