Hi
In my opinion it isnt worth it.
The ram is expensive and it doesn�t take a lot.
If going for an upgradable PM then go for something like a 75/8500 or
similar. 
Have a look through the http://www.lowendmacs.com site to get an idea of
what Macs offer.
