And the Apple 16" Color Display has that nifty base with a sort of
ADB hub built in and connections for microphone and speakers.
Basically a cable extender. It's handy if your computer sits on the
floor and you're tired of having a hyper-extended keyboard cable.

The Apple 17" (the first one, not any of the 17xx series) is
basically the same monitor as the Apple 16" with the same cool base
but it supports multiple resolutions. I use one (the 17") and a
Radius Intellicolor 20e. I have another Intellicolor 20e, but I just
can't bear to give up the cool base on the Apple 17". I think the
Apple 20" of the same era also had the same type of base.
