I have several zip drives, (5), all of them blue and all of them extensively used when I received them. No click of death here at all on any of them. Maybe they were already sent back and have been refurbished. I also have about 10 extra power cords for them in the garage. I have no complaints about mine. One of the drives told me it needed to be reformated because it was going bad. Slow reformat gives it 100% life.
