Hi there! I've got a 9600 and I'm looking for a stereo 'extended miniplug' .. I can't seem to find these anywhere. I opened up a plaintalk microphone which has the extended miniplug and confirmed that the microphone input is indeed stereo .. however, the miniplug/cable on the plaintalk microphone was wired for mono.
If you try to plug in a normal stereo minicable into the powermac you usually get a BUZZ or just a monomix. I have not yet tried radio shack .. which probably has them or at least an adapter ..
