1) Unplug the computer.
2) Remove the battery from the logic board.
3) Disconnect the power supply cable from the logic board and then
press the Power On button.
4) Wait at least 10 minutes before replacing the battery.
5) Make sure the battery is installed in the correct +/- direction.
6) Reassemble the computer and test the unit.

Try the above procedure, and to be thorough, pull EVERYTHING from the board,
not just the battery. I have a 7600 G3/275 that gave me some
"every-other-start" problems and this procedure *seems* to have fixed it.
Jay Prince put this up a few months back and I put it in my "Keepers"
folder.
