Time to upgrade the 9 GB drives on my 7500.

I have ordered a couple of 18 GB, 68 pin ultra 2 wide drives to replace the 9
gig'ers. I know I can use the 68 pin to 50 pin adapter and use the internal
10 MB/sec SCSI bus.

The question is can I use an ATTO UL 2D PCI LVD SCSI dual channel controller
on these drives. From my limited research the drives have an Ultra 2
LVD/Ultra LVD wide interface which seems to meet the spec's on the ATTO
controller? The vendor says it is compatible with legacy PCI Macs.

Before I buy the ATTO are there any problems with this combination that I
should know about?

Computer spec's: 7500/512RAM/G3 466/1MB.
Use: moderate graphics work, Photoshop/PageMaker/Quark/Illlustrator, output
to color RIP and B/W laser printer

Future plans include G4 upgrade and OS X
