Sorry for the wordiness.

I have a powermac G4 and an imac in my classroom and since I don't own
either computer I felt it safe to ask a couple of questions.

Last year somebody inserted a small disk into the cdrom drive of the
imac and its logged in there. The cdrom drive is useless as a result.
Does any know how to open the case to remove the drive ( and remove the
stuck disk?)

I hooked up a DESKJET 648C to the G4 (USB). Installed the drivers that
came with the printer. I don't get the 648 drivers but I get 640 after
installation, by the way this works fine with the imac. I did the
chooser thing and I get 640 instead of 648. When I try to print a
document I get a dialog box telling me that there is no printer chosen
and so I get the edit printer dialog box. I choose USB and the DESKJET
640 icon appears and I click it. The computer does its thing and then I
get this message "An unexpected error has occurred -9621". Regardless
of what I do i always end up with this message. Anybody know what's
happening?
And by the way I did a system profiler and I get powermac g4 running
at 137 MHz. Is it assuming that the g4 is 750 (which added to 137 comes
to 887)?
TIA.
Peter.
