If you're using the Sonnet Processor Upgrade extension, try disabling it. This will disable the L2 Cache, but you can (and IMHO should) replace the Sonnet extension with the (free) G3/G4 Cache Profiler from PowerLogix, which can enable or disable the L2 cache and do a lot of other things without, apparently, using an Extension or Control Panel.
