Yeah, tell me about it. I have an 8500/120 (G4/400 upgrade), Orangelink USB/FW card (NEC chip). I was using a Logitech wheel mouse & loaded the driver. On bootup, Mouseware (Logitech's control panel for optical mouse) shows only the left button "recognized". After unplugging & plugging USB cable, the other buttons are "recognized". Other people have had the same problem (see Appendix). Some went over to USB Overdrive. I actually got my Logitech mouse to "recognize" all the buttons under 9.1. I trashed the Mouseware & Mouse preferences. However, when I went to 9.2.2..the same old problem resurfaced. Trashing the preferences of Mouseware & Mouse didn't work. Funny thing, on random bootups, all the buttons & wheel were "recognized". I've given up. About the only thing to do is switch over to another driver : USB Overdrive. Since I use the Logitech MX500 (8 buttons including: back, forward, up scroll, down scroll, application switcher), I have to stick with Logitech's driver. So, I'm stuck Appendix http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mac8500-l/message/1654 > g-list > > Chronological --> > Find > > Thread --> > > Re: Apple optical mouse? > > From: Marc van Gemert > Subject: Re: Apple optical mouse? > Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2001 23:59:53 -0700 > > Justin Ramirez wrote: > > > I'm actually using a Logitech mouse on my beige MT right now, > and I get the > > scroll weel AND right click (contextual menu).
