There was a Mr. Potatohead v1.0 but there were serious problems with the product as shipped. The demo version more or less exceeded the capabilities of the retail product, and there were complaints that the resultant heads were too lumpy and small.. The people at Newer Tech took on the challenge of updating Mr Potatohead 1.0 to what was to have been version MP 2.0 but allong the way there were so many improvements that it was decided that the updated version warranted a release of its own. The decision to go with the rutabaga was a stroke of brilliance. Much bigger and not as prone to unsightly lumps and more exotic than the lowly turnip. M -- Jesus is coming.
