I have an 8500/120 (G4/400 upgrade).

I just bought a Sony CDRW 48x/12x/48x IDE.

Is it possible to yank out the stock SCSI CD drive (I still have the stock
one, circa '95), & use the above drive on my IDE controller? (I use the
Acard ATA/66). I.e., it will be bootable?

The other option is just put the Sony CDRW in an external FW box, & run it
off the Orangelink FW/USB card.
