I very much appreciate this discussion.

In following this list, I had often heard the suggestion to solve a problem by
"trashing the preferences" and they will "rebuild themselves" and that
often it is a "corrupted" preference file is the cause of the problem.

My question is one from wanting to learm how to troubleshoot and
solve problems that I may encounter.

Along that line, I also read references to a "corrupted "Application
and to reinstall them when all else fails.

So I just have to ask...do "extensions" get "corrupted" and need to be
replaced by a new copy after a period of time of heavy use?

Do "plug-ins" get "corrupted" after months of use and need to be
replaced by new copies?

Again I appreciate the discussion,
Gail
