The memory is physically the same. The access speed is the main difference.
Most of my 168 5 Volt DIMM's are 60 ns (required for the 6500), so most of
them work in all of my PCI Mac's (except the 4400 and Starmax 3000's
machines, they are 3.3 V). The 7500 requires at least a 70 ns access time
(so it should work with 60 ns).

The 6500's also will only work with 1K and 2K refresh RAM, while the 7500
should work with 4K refresh RAM as well.
