It's true.  That in my mind is one of the pluses of IE 5.1.  I don't 
recall all of the extensions but those that start with Microsoft or 
MS are a start.  Look through the Extensions folder and any you can't 
identify do Get Info on.  I think they usually indicate M$ in origin 
if they are.  Don't trash them though, put them in a folder.  When 
you are done run any other M$ programs you have (if any) and see if 
they work okay.  IE isn't the only thing that litters the Extension 
folder.  The newer Office programs will automatically replace any 
missing files though.

M$ finally figured out that those files don't have to be in the 
System Folder but could be with the application (wow, what a 
concept).  They keep forgetting that the IE is a part of the OS is 
only a monopolistic ploy and doesn't apply to the Mac any ways.
