Probably not. That card may actually be sold with Mac firmware under another
brand name (or it might not). It needs not simply drivers but firmware ...

Promise does not directly market cards for Macs.

Cards manufactured by Promise, but containing the necessary physical
modifications for Macs, and the necessary firmware for Macs, are marketed by
Sonnet, and others.

Once it became apparent that some Promise PC cards could easily be modified
to work in Macs, the various vendors, and Promise, got together and
implemented changes which make it next to impossible to "divert" PC-oriented
cards to Macs.

In fact, the latest-and-greatest chip set from Promise has a version without
a suffix (this one works only in PCs) and a version with a suffix (this one w
orks only in Macs).

The non-suffixed part has 256 kb of EEPROM, which is sufficient for PC
firmware; the suffixed part has 1024 kb of EEPROM, which is needed by the Mac
firmware.

None of these cards requires a driver.
