In addition to Mr. Cantrell's, I know two sheep farmers here who have had to deal with one dog or two. driving 11 to 15 sheep into fences, some pregnant with lambs, and tearing at their hind quarters - never eating a bite!!! One man who was born on this island went to another's rescue and just got a good shot off as the dog lunged at him. But I have to say that a wolf generally doesn't kill for the passion of it but a dog repeatedly will because the dog has made an often rank sensualist, i.e., his passion-prone human master, his God.
