I need some info on a "serial 9600 baud printer", I need one to go with a piece of electronic equipment I want to buy.

The options are programmed through a 9600 baud serial port. I don't know if the mac has a serial port or communications software, but if it does, you can use that. Obviously I need to program the options thru the serial port, and send a 'string' to have the device print on the "serial 9600 baud printer". I need help, I'm out of my league on this one. Can I do it with my Mac or do I have to buy a (ugh) PC to operate this device and its "serial 9600 baud printer"? Also, where do I buy a "serial 9600 baud printer" and how much should it cost?
