Hi, I'm new to the list.

I have just added an ATI Rage 128 video card to my system: a powermac 7300
upgraded with a G3 250mhz card running OS 9.2.2. I have 296MB of Ram.

To my great surprise Norton Utilities reports that my 2D video performance
has decreased by about 50%! How can this be? I'm using the latest October
2002 drivers from ATI. I have tried previous versions of their Graphics
Accelerator extensions but get about the same result.

3D performance seems adequate but then I am not a gamer so I was not looking
for state of the art 3d performance. I was mainly interested in an overall
boost in performance from the addition of the video card.

Would appreciate any advice or experience others have had.

Wayne.
