Can someone suggest an application -- preferably shareware -- that will let me edit large mp3 files, at least in order to extract arbitrary segments of a very large file? (I create these files sometimes by setting one of my Macs to record input from an fm tuner and leave it going all day.) Even though I have many gigs of hard disk space, I'd rather not have to convert an 8-hour file to aiff format in order to do any editing!
I'm mainly using OS 9.1, although I have the 9.21 and 9.22 updates ready to install if it seems worth doing. I also have OS 10.2, but I'm not using it much yet.
