This has probably been answered here before, but I am trying to get a 9.1, or at least a 9 disk for my 7300/180. I've seen the regular retail disks for sale on ebay, but they want upwards of $45, which is more than I paid for the computer itself!! I have 8.1 which would be fine, except that it doesn't like my cable internet connection. I tried downloading and installing the newer Open Transport, I followed all instructions from Cox Cable, however, they recommend 8.5 and up. I didn't think that would make a difference, but apparantly it is so. Can the "system restore" or "system install" disks from another Powermac, iMac or such be used to do a complete wiping-out and re-installation of the system software for a 7300? These disks are usually so much cheaper than just the regular retail version, plus you usually get cool software with them. ...................................Mike T. >
