Mike, have you tried the LEM Swap List ? Usually better prices, and sorta self policing, seems more reputable than the eFRAY overall.
The OEM OS 8.6 from my G4 'Yikes' will not install on anything previous to the Yikes. But an OS 9.1 CD that's labeled w/'PowerBook G4' installed on a PM6500 ... don't know the secret. Better to look for a full retail CD. If you're going to do 9, do 9.1 ... mo better. HTH ...
