I've seen at least one model of LaserWriter that had a SCSI connector for
attaching a hard drive to serve as printer memory. I can't remember if it had
a DB-25 or Centronics-50 connector.

The IINTX I/O board had a 50-pin Amphenol 57 Series [ * ] connector.

The IIf and IIg I/O boards also had a 50-pin Amphenol 57 Series connector.

The Pro 630, 16/600 and the two Color LaserWriters used a 30-pin HDI
connector.

* Mistakenly called a Centronics connector; Centronics used a 36-pin 57
Series for its parallel-by-byte printer interface; HP used a 24-pin 57 Series
for its HP-IB/IEEE-488 interface; Apple used a 50-pin 57 Series for its SCSI
interface, as did the telephone company for its 25-line subscriber interface;
Canon used a 16-pin 57 Series connector for its early (IIx and IIxf) scanner
interface. The first ScanJet was based upon the Canon IIxf.
