Recently the downloading behaviour of IE5 seems to have changed? Very often, when I double-click on a link - icon or text - all that happens is that the page with the link on just seems to reload or rewrite itself. Previously, the download would have started and shown up in the Download Manager window. Now, I have to click-drag the link to a folder or the desktop for it to start. Is there an IE preference that I've inadvertently changed? I've looked through all of the relevant ones and they all look reasonable enough. I saw mention in one list recently of 'passive' downloads and proxies. Would this be connected to this problem?
