I would suggest that you check with your macdealer ?
I have an LG with an ide card but some models of the same manufacture 
brand works well while others don't, and sometimes the difference to 
be seen is just 2 or 3 digits in the modelnumber, so it aint easy to 
advice unless you state your hometown etc.,
